ZKL expands TBU unit portfolio with the smallest size CTBU 110x180
ZKL Group is expanding its product portfolio of bearing units for demanding railway applications. A new compact TBU unit designated CTBU 110x180 has now been added to the range, representing the smallest dimensional variant within this product line.
The new unit has been developed with the specific requirements of modern urban public transport systems in mind, particularly for metro and tram applications, where the combination of compact dimensions, high reliability, and long service life with minimal maintenance requirements is essential.
The unit is based on the proven design of ZKL bearing units for axle applications and maintains full compatibility with the requirements of railway vehicle operators in the urban mobility segment. Thanks to its advanced design solution, resulting from extensive development, it enables efficient integration even into space-limited bogies without compromising performance or operational safety.
The expansion of the product portfolio with this new size confirms ZKL’s ability to respond flexibly to the current needs of railway vehicle manufacturers. ZKL therefore provides its customers with bearing solutions that support higher operational efficiency, longer service intervals, and seamless integration into modern railway systems.
The new CTBU 110x180 unit is now available for project implementation and technical consultations.
It will be officially presented in the Czech Republic at the Rail Business Days in Ostrava and internationally at InnoTrans in Berlin.
