Innovations to reduce energy consumption and increase production reliability
In 2022, ZKL Brno plant continued to invest extensively in infrastructure and technology. The main objective of these investments is to reduce the energy consumption of production and buildings and to modernise production and technological processes. Part of these measures were co-financed by the European Union under “Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations for Competitiveness” - Energy Savings.
As part of investments in technology, new modern machines were installed to enable automated production of bearing components in high precision. Two new lathes SPR 100 CNC and SPS 2/25 CNC were purchased for the production of bearing rings and rolling elements, two centreless grinding machines with CNC control BB 10ST CNC for grinding of rolling element surfaces and an automatic double-sided flat grinding machine BARA 80 CNC for grinding of rolling element faces.
