ZKL at InnoTrans 2026: A Record-Breaking Edition Full of Innovation

This year’s InnoTrans in Berlin once again confirmed its position as one of the most important international events for the railway and transport industry. The 30th anniversary edition, held from 22 to 25 September 2026, set new records, welcoming 175,591 trade visitors from 128 countries over four days. A total of 3,190 exhibitors from 59 countries presented their products and technologies, including 180 world premieres.
InnoTrans 2026 filled all 42 exhibition halls as well as the outdoor areas, covering almost 120,000 m² of exhibition space. The outdoor display also featured 113 rail vehicles from 17 countries. Key topics of this year’s event included artificial intelligence, digitalisation, automation, robotics and alternative drive systems.

ZKL presented solutions for modern railway transport

ZKL was also part of this year’s InnoTrans. In Hall 23, we presented our solutions for railway applications – from bearings and bearing units to services and new technologies designed to enhance the reliability of rail vehicles.

One of the highlights of our exhibition was the world premiere of VOLPROTEQ – Electrically Insulated Bearings by ZKL. This new solution is designed to protect bearings in traction motors and other drive systems against unwanted electrical currents, which can cause electrical erosion and contribute to premature bearing wear.

We also presented our solutions for axles, gearboxes and traction motors. Visitors had the opportunity to explore our bearing units and other ZKL products for rail vehicles. Our presentation also included services covering mounting, diagnostics, remanufacturing and technical support.

For ZKL, InnoTrans was above all an opportunity to meet customers, partners and railway industry professionals from around the world in person. Four days in Berlin brought many valuable discussions about the current needs of the railway industry as well as opportunities for future cooperation.

We would like to thank all customers, partners and industry professionals who visited our stand. We greatly appreciate your interest, feedback and the new ideas and insights we are taking home from Berlin.

It was four days full of valuable meetings, meaningful discussions and new contacts. Thank you for being part of it with us.
