At ZKL Hanušovice, a.s., production focuses on parts designed for the automobile industry. In particular, it includes metallic, precision-shaped pipes used in the cooling, heating and oil systems of motor vehicles. The improvement of engine output is inseparably accompanied by the exploitation of even the imperceptible spaces on the engine, which results in the necessity of manufacturing cooling pipes that are sometimes intricately bent. Further requirements our products include, besides the above-mentioned high precision, surface protection capable of resisting the surrounding environment and, of course, minimum manufacturing costs that are essential nowadays.

The manufacture of a specific pipe takes place in a strictly monitored process of project management. In the design stage, we have at our disposal our own designing department that resolves possible technological modifications in co-operation with the design departments of car factories. It is also used for designing our own tools, fixtures (welding, pressurising) and other equipment (for pressing, gauges for build-up areas or bent shapes of pipes). 
The subsequent manufacturing stage consists of the following parts:

• the manufacture of prototypes stage and initial samples, which is done by our own prototype workshop
• the manufacture of standard series products stage, i.e. products manufactured under the conditions for usual series production.
